Analysis and design of electrical systems in buildings using the National Electrical Code (NFPA_70). The topics include panel boards, motors, transformers, electrical distribution in buildings, grounding, methodology of reducing the available short circuit, and power systems harmonics. As well, this course includes the foundations of a smart building, communications systems, system control, electrical power management systems, and economics. Students will perform design project.
