This course covers the analysis and forecasting of synoptic weather systems with an emphasis on the basic tools of and its application for weather analysis, including the theories of synoptic weather; the application of thermodynamic and dynamic concepts and models to synoptic weather analysis, the use of numerical models for synoptic weather forecasting. Prerequisites: ASME 211, ASME 251 and MATH 231 or consent of instructor. (F,S)
