his course investigates the basics of satellite and radar remote sensing including applications in weather analysis and forecast. Principles of atmospheric radiative transfer are discussed. The course introduces descriptions of meteorological satellite orbits and sensors, including the retrieval of atmospheric variables from active and passive systems. Prerequisites: ASME 151, ASME 251, and ASME 433 or Consent of instructor.
