Course

Description

This is an introductory course to the nervous system with an emphasis on brain organization, cellular neurophysiology, molecular biology of channels and receptors, molecular biology of supramolecular mechanisms (synaptic transmission), sensation and perception, and neural mechanisms underlying learning memory. This course will build upon some of the basic concepts learned from the prerequisites, but in more depth specifically related to the integration of the roles of organelles and their specific proteins.
