Biological research under the direction of a faculty member. The research may be carried out in the dejpartment or as part of an internship in an off-campus academic or industrial setting. A written paper, an abstract, and an oral presentation open to the public are required. Limited to bioloby majors with a 3.0 GPA overall and in the major. The student should register for the course the semester the research will be completed or in the fall for research done the previous summer. Permission of instructor required. Course may be repeated once for credit. (F;S)
