This laboratory course emphasizes the design of bioactive compounds and the measurement of their physical, chemical and functional properties. Modern instrumentation such as gas and column chromatography, infrared and ultraviolet analyses, and bioreactive assays are used. Prerequisites: None. Corequisite: CHEM 221. (F)
