This course is a study of the fundamental thermodynamics laws that govern the material in the three phases, and in solutions. It also covers chemical kinetics and the application of thermodynamics and chemical kinetics on chemical reactions especially chemical equilibrium, and the application of thermodynamic laws on phase diagrams. Prerequisites: MATH 231, PHYS 241, and CHEM 231. (F;S)
