Fundamentals of chemical process safety and designing for the environment are introduced in this course. Topics include toxicology, industrial hygiene, source models, toxic release and dispersion models, fires and explosions, relief systems, hazard identification and risk analysis, environmental fate and transport, waste generation, pollution prevention, and regulatory requirements.
