This course is an introduction of biological, chemical, and physical principles that are foundational in environmental engineering. Topics include mass balance, biological and microbiological processes, solution precipitation reactions, Henry's law, chemical kinetics, diffusion, and mass transfer. Prerequisite: CHEM 106, CHEM 116 and MATH 131. (F)
