This course is designed as a foundational class for future school counselors. This course offers an introduction and overview of the profession and practice of school counseling. Specifically, the course focuses on the history of school counseling, the roles and responsibilities of a school counselor, and how this aligns with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model and ethical standards.
