This course introduces students to research methods and their application to criminal justice issues. Emphasis is placed on understanding social science research theory, research proposals, and the analysis of data from the Uniform Crime Report, the National Crime Victimization Survey and various crime databases. Prerequisites: Junior standing or permission of instructor. (F;S;SS)
