This course surveys the qualities required of a professional working in the field of crime scene investigation as well as the challenges faced by investigators. The course focuses on courtroom reputation and presentation, crime scene safety, chain of custody, ethics, impartiality, manipulation, report writing, and prevention of the contamination, mishandling, and/or misinterpretation of evidence. This is an Investigative Science specialization course. Prerequisite: None. (F,S,SS)
