This supervised program is for students who are taking the CSE Ph.D. program qualifying examination to demonstrate the understanding of the core areas of CSE and their domain research area. It culminates in a scheduled written examination administered on a Pass/Fail basis and must be passed after the completion of the first year of Ph.D. coursework or an unconditional basis. Prerequisites: Doctoral student in CSE with unconditional admission status and consent of academic advisor. (F;S)
