This course covers principles and methods of exploring, managing, and visualizing data. Students will understand, access and work with relational and non-relational databases. The course will cover structured query language (SQL) for working with relational databases and R/Python for non-relational databases. Students will also learn to select and run visualizations for diverse types of univariate, multivariate, temporal, text-based, hierarchical, and network/graph-based data. Visualization topics will include tabulations, charts/graphics, and dashboard design. Both R and Tableau will be introduced for data visualization. Prerequisite: Graduate Standing (F,S,SS)
