This course introduces the fundamentals of design using microprocessors, microcomputers, and microcontrollers. Both software and hardware concepts are addressed. Software concepts include high and low-level programming flowcharts, and development/debugging techniques. Hardware concepts included communication ports, interrupts, memory, and interfacing to digital and analog devices such as sensors and actuators. Prerequisites: ECEN 200 and ECEN 212. (F;S;SS)
