This course covers the design, organization and architecture of computer systems. Topics include central processing unit architecture, instruction set architecture, instruction level paarallelism, microcode, system interconnections, memory systems, input/output systems; interrupt handling, peripherals and communications networks. Prerequisites: ECEN 212. (F;S;SS)
