This course is an introduction to automatic control theory. It covers control components, development of block diagrams for control systems, analysis, and computer simulations based on time and s domain. Three design methods: Bode-plot, root locus, and pole placement are discussed. Models may be chosen by minimizing quadratic performance index, ITAE or by computer simulation. Prerequisites: ECEN 400.
