The course objective is to undersand the basic theory and the foundations of fuzzy sets. Fuzzy logic is shown to contain evidence, possibility, and probability logic. This course emphasizes engineering applications in control, decision-making, and pattern recognition. The hardware/ software implementation of those applications is also demonstrated.
