This course focuses on content, pedagogy, and assessment for word analysis (morphemic and structural analysis), fluency (accuracy, rate, and prosody), vocabulary and comprehension in culturally, linguistically, and developmentally diverse K-6 classrooms. Emphasis is placed on the Science of Reading, and theories, research, and strategies for integrating listening, speaking, viewing, reading, and writing throughout content areas for comprehension development.
