Students will apply the principles of flat pattern to create styled tops, bottoms, dresses and other garment components. Hand methods will be the focus, though CAD approaches to flat pattern design will be referenced. Students will study and sharpen their design point of view through an original garment design process that requires research, concept development, patternmaking, and application of industry- standard specifications to construct a final garment.
