Description

This course is designed to teach students about basic and advanced knowledge in fermentation, food borne illnesses, food spoilage, as well as the differences and similarities between each. Student will learn about the microorganisms involved in each of these processes as well as the health promoting micro-organisms known as probiotics. Importantly, students will learn about methods for their food microorganism control.
