This course serves as an introduction to the concepts of astronomy, geodesy and map projections currently used in surveying practice. The earth's gravity field, ellipsoids, datums, geographic and projected coordinate systems, and coordinate transformations are discussed. Prerequisites: GEOM 340, PHYS 226/236. (F;S;SS)
