This course examines the social, economic, political, cultural and environmental forces that shape our individual and collective experiences in contemporary times and in different parts of the world. Students learn how current conditions across the globe have been shaped by recent historical developments and are introduced to concepts enabling them to grasp the contemporary global experience.
