Description

This course focuses on societal, economic, cultural, and global factors that affect population health and well-being in contemporary U.S. society. The course will use descriptive and inferential statistics to explore healthcare inequalities. The epidemiological profile of disenfranchised populations will be examined utilizing the integration of study design, public health surveillance, methods of control, prevention, and evaluation. Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in MATH 224, HSM 201 and and HSM 221. (F;S;SS)
