This course is directed toward development and contribution to the advancement of a unified framework for conceptualizing, designing, modeling, and operating advanced integrated manufacturing systems. It builds upon emerging developments in computer and communications technologies and conceptual breakthroughs regarding the nature and behavior of integrated enterprises.
