This course is designed to study the impact of nutrition on health, fitness, and sports performance. Emphasis will be on proper nutrient intake for performance, fluid replacement, exercise prescription for achieving weight management, and the purported mechanisms of action of common ergogenic aids in sport and fitness. Prerequisites: KINS majors with EXSC concentration only. Minimum grade of C in KINS 209 or BIOL 351 and a minimum grade of D in CHEM 104 or CHEM 106 (F;S;SU)
