Description

This course focuses on the development of the dissertation proposal. The dissertation research is embedded in the internship experience that ensures a comprehensive application and utilization of research. Additionally, the purpose of the course is to provide a review of research design in terms of understanding the considerations that go into selecting a qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods research design in development of your dissertation research proposal. These considerations include knowing the definition for the different methodological approaches, considering philosophical worldviews, reviewing the literature, understanding the use of theory, anticipating ethical issues, and developing writing strategies. Prerequisites: LEST 815 and LEST 991. (F;S;SS)
