This course examines the elastic and plastic behavior of engineering materials in relation to its structure at both the macroscopic and microscopic levels. Major representative classes of materials to be examined are thermoplastic materials, elastomers, glasses, ceramics, metals, and composites. Prerequisite: Graduate Standing. (F;S)
