This course focuses on the concepts of theories essential in providing nursing care to childbearing families, newborns and women. Incorporated into the course are methods of adaptation to physiological stressors inherent in this group of patients. In the clinical portion of the course the students will learn to work with interdisciplinary teams and employ evidence-based practice and informatics to provide quality patient-centered care. Prerequisites: NURS 355. (F;S;SS)
