This course focuses on the development of professional knowledge and specialized skills in family centered care. Emphasis is placed on the stages of physiological and psychosocial development and health care needs from infancy to adolescence. The clinical practicum portion of the course assists the student in developing critical thinking skills related to the nursing care of infants, children, adolescents and their families. Prerequisite: NURS 355. (F;S;SS)
