Advanced health assessment and diagnostic reasoning focuses on assessment of health status of individuals and families throughout the lifespan addressing social determinants of health, cultural and developmental variations. Diagnostic reasoning is emphasized as the decision- making process which differentiates normal from abnormal health states. Diversity, equity and inclusion are strong concepts integrated into the course for nurse practitioners to have an understanding and application of culturally appropriate and congruent individualized and population health care.
