Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics I is the first in a three course series designed to develop the skills and knowledge base related to the fundamental principles of pharmacology. Major principles of pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties will initially be reviewed, followed by an introduction to pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics. Emphasis will be placed on patient education with regards to drug administration, potential adverse side effects.
