Description

This is an advanced study of quantum theory which along with Physics 720 covers the fundamental concepts and formulations: theory of measurement with application to simple physical systems, operator formalism, symmetries and invariance, system of identical particles, angular momentum and the theory of spin, variational and pertubation approximation technique, time-dependent perturbation theory and radiation, scattering theory with applications. Prerequisite: PHYS 421 or Graduate Standing.
