This course will include historical context, issues in research, and theories of gender-typing. Students will examine how gender, personality, and experience shape the development of masculinity and femininity. Further topics for discussion include the development of gender role behavior, socio-cultural sterotypes, and contemporary issues in the psychology of women. Prerequisite: PSYC 101 or PSYC 110.
