This course examines interpersonal communication within the context of healthcare settings. Students will explore theories of interpersonal communication and relate those theories to interactions within a healthcare setting. The focus will include doctor patient exchanges both verbal and nonverbal. Other areas to be addressed are interpersonal exchanges among groups (health teams, families, and healthcare administrators).
