This course focuses on planning and modifying classroom instruction for students experiencing challenges in acquiring basic literacy skills. Assessment of student strenghts and weaknesses to guide instructional decision making and use of explicit research-based instructional techniques and implementation of proven comprehensive reading strategies and programs are discussed.
