STAT 214: Intro to Statistical Reasoning

Description

This is an introductory course in statistics whose purpose is to promote understanding of statictical reasoning and using numerical information to make data-informed judgements and decisions. Students will learn to understand graphical and numerical presentations of data, and to understand the concept of sampling. The methods and concepts studied will be presented in the context of real-world problems, with the aim of making the student statistically literate. Prerequisites: MATH 101 or MATH 103. (F;S;SS)
