Description

This course introduces fundamental statistical methods and techniques required for modern data analytics. Course topics include probability concepts and applications, data collection methods, sampling distributions, statistical inference, hypothesis testing, regression models, ANOVA, and nonparametric inference. Emphasis is placed on defining a statistical problem, selecting and performing appropriate statistical analytical tools, and interpreting and communicating properly analytical results and findings. Students will engage in real world data projects by leveraging modern data analytics tools to experience the life cycle of a data analytics project. Prerequisite: Graduate Standing. (F;S;SS)
