The management of the logistics function is examined with an emphasis on the impact on firm and supply chain. The individual elements of logistics management including inventory management, transportation, purchasing, facility location, distribution and materials handling, and information technology are examined. The integration of logistics activities across the supply chain is an important element of this course. Prerequisites: None. (F;S;SS)
