Dr. Cephas B. Naanwaab is an applied economist with research expertise in economic development, international economics, and economic inequality. His research also focuses on regional economic development issues such as housing affordability and applied economic impact analysis. Dr. Naanwaab is a co-author of the North Carolina A&T State University's economic impact study -- the recent iteration of which revealed the university contributes $2.4 billion annually to the state's economy.
He is a frequent contributor to local media, offering expert insights on pressing economic topics relevant to the Piedmont Triad and the broader North Carolina community. His consulting portfolio includes economic impact analyses for organizations such as Nestlé Purina, Triad Goodwill Industries, and the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce.
