Biography

Dr. Daphne Cooper is the new Interim Department Chair for History and Political Science as of June 2022; she began at NCAT as an Associate Professor of Political Science in January 2022. Prior to her joining the faculty at North Carolina A & T State University, she served as an Associate Professor of Political Science and the Department Chair of Social Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts at Indian River State College in Ft. Pierce, FL.

Dr. Cooper was awarded a Master of Arts in Public Administration and a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University, in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Cooper is a scholar in the field of American Government & Politics, Public Policy, Urban Politics and International Relations.
