Biography
Flora J Hatley Wadelington is a native of North Carolina and received a Master of Arts Degree in American History from North Carolina Central University in Durham. She currently is an Assistant Professor of History serving as a Lecturer in the History and Political Science Department at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She teaches the course on the History of the University titled, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University: A Legacy of Social Activism and Aggie Pride.
Wadelington began her career as a History professional in the field of Public History. After leaving Public History she began a career in academia teaching History courses at HBCUs, Bennett College, North Carolina Central University, Saint Augustine's University and Shaw University. As a Faculty memnber at Shaw, she also served as the University Historian and was instrumental in securing landmark designation from the City of Raleigh for two Historic Buildings on the Campus.
