Biography
Dr. Guoqing Tang is a Professor of Mathematics and Chair of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at North Carolina A&T State University. During his tenure at NCA&T, he has published over 36 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings and one book, and have received over $20 million in STEM-related grants, contracts and gifts. He has engaged 2 post-doctoral research associates, 30 master’s students and 60 undergraduate students in his funded research projects, and served on 7 Ph.D. dissertation committees and over 60 master’s thesis or project committees. He is very passionate with and actively involved in STEM education research and student engagement and development as well as faculty support, and believe they are essential in nurturing and cultivating the next generation of STEM leaders.
