Biography

Dr. Moon brings over 20 years of extensive industry experience as a licensed architect and Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Korea, specializing in architectural design, construction engineering, and construction management. She earned her Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management and joined the Civil and Architectural Engineering faculty at North Carolina A&T State University in 2023. Dr. Moon has seamlessly integrated her practical industry expertise into academia, focusing her research on advancing construction methodologies and management practices. In 2022, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recognized her exceptional contributions to the field with the prestigious Thomas Fitch Rowland Prize. An active member of ASCE, Dr. Moon serves on the Construction Research Congress committee and contributes to the engineering community through research, teaching, and professional service.
