Hyung Nam Kim, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at NC A&T State University. Dr. Kim has a deep commitment to creating technology that bridges usability, safety, and accessibility gaps, empowering everyone, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. Dr. Kim's scholarly background spans Engineering Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Safety, Education, and Healthcare. By integrating these disciplines, Dr. Kim's recent research focuses on developing innovative, user-centered solutions to address the specific needs of individuals with varying abilities and disabilities. By adopting Universal Design principles, Dr. Kim strives to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion in technology design, enabling everyone to fully utilize mainstream and assistive technologies, ultimately enhancing their quality of life.
