Biography

Kendra N. Bryant Aya is an associate professor of English with 20 years teaching experience. Her scholarship interests include civil rights rhetoric; Black Arts Movement poetry; and 20th century African-American literature. Kendra writes poetry, blogs, and directs the independent press she founded, BOMBS (Betting on My Black Self), under which she published her first collection of poetry, we be theorizin.
