Biography

Dr. Kory Bennett is the Director for Robotics Outreach in the College of Engineering and also serves as the NC Program Delivery Partner for FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), managing STEM robotics programs for grades 2–12 statewide. Passionate about community engagement in STEM, he is a contributor to the Testing, Evaluation, and Control of Heterogenous Large-Scale Systems of Autonomous Vehicles (Techlav) Center and the Carnegie Community Engagement Committee while being Co-PI on NASA's ULI education/outreach initiative. He founded AECE (Aggies for Engineering and Community Enrichment), a student organization dedicated to STEM outreach. Dr. Bennett holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from NC A&T. His professional experience includes positions as a circuit board staff engineer, senior baseband engineer, and digital logic designer. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi while being active in Project Kaleidoscope & the NC Science Leadership Association.
