She loved being a practicing social worker for many years because it provided me with such rich knowledge and experiences that she often shares with her students. Her personal interest includes visiting lighthouses across the United States and other countries. Also, she enjoys listening to gospel music and watching classic movies as a form of self-care.
Her teaching philosophy includes the belief that students who learn to explore and enhance their personal values and perceptions as they increase their knowledge of human services/social work principles, theories, and ethics will have effective learning experiences. She also believes that we are all connected to systems that influence our behavior. She enjoys interacting and learning from others (including her students) to enhance her knowledge and lifelong learning.
