Biography

Dr. Brooks’ career in academia began after he accepted a one-year Visiting Professorship at the University of Florida in 2003. He was also a faculty member at UAB (Birmingham) from 2004 -2013, before landing at his current position at NCAT. Brooks has a BA in Psychology from Morehouse College, and a Masters of Arts and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Central Florida. Prior to a beginning a career in higher education, Dr. Brooks worked in government mental health, substance abuse, and employee assistance.
