Nazmul Bhuyan

Dr. Md Nazmul Hasan Bhuyan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at North Carolina A&T State University. Prior to joining NC A&T, he earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Dr. Bhuyan has completed all three levels of the CFA exams, and he brings industry experience from his work as an equity analyst at AT Capital Asset Management Company and as a portfolio manager at Lanka Bangla Investments Ltd. His research spans topics including social capital, CEO early-life disaster experiences, and CEO marital status, with a particular focus on how these factors influence financial decision-making and corporate behavior. Dr. Bhuyan’s work has been published in respected academic journals, such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Financial Research, and Accounting and Finance.
